Why I Started This Blog

Welcome to my corner of the internet. I believe I speak for almost everyone (except the few geniuses who humble the global population) that we often don't know what we know or how we know what we know. Something I learnt in class 10 years ago might seem arbitrary or a given that may not deserve much attention. 10 years ago, the eureka moment I felt when I learnt it was real but now has been reduced to a mere fact that carries zero emotional weight.

This blog is my attempt at a remedy. At any point in life from here on out I hope to actively capture my thoughts and emotions in my own endeavours (projects, creative pursuits, travel, fitness, etc.). What may seem trivial in the future can be relived by my future self through these posts.

Why Write?

I started this blog because life moves fast, and it's easy to forget how much changes over time. Semesters blur together, and sometimes you only realise how much you've grown when you stop and look back. Writing gives me a way to slow down, reflect, and make sense of the journey as it unfolds, actively recognising my thought processes and emotions.

I also want this to be a record of growth. Years from now, I hope I can return to these posts and see not just what I built or learned, but who I was at each stage of life. I want to remember the uncertainty, the excitement, the mistakes, and the small wins that shaped me both personally and professionally.

Another reason I write is to share what I learn. I've benefited so much from people on the internet who openly share their ideas, experiences, and solutions. So this blog is also my way of giving back. If something I write helps someone solve a problem, think differently, or feel less alone in their own journey, then it has already served its purpose.

And maybe most importantly, I want this blog to be a reminder that you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. A lot of people hesitate because they feel they are not ready, not skilled enough, or not experienced enough. I feel that too sometimes. But growth only happens when you take that first step. If this space can encourage even one person to start building, writing, learning, or sharing, then that would mean a lot to me.

What to Expect

This blog will be a mix of things:

  • Technical write-ups on projects I'm working on
  • Learning notes from courses, internships, and side quests
  • Personal reflections on growth, challenges, and the journey
  • Random thoughts on tech, life, and everything in between

It won't always be polished. It won't always be profound. But it'll be honest.

Let's Build Together

P.S. This blog was built from scratch using React and hosted for free (I paid for my own domain name). If you're thinking about starting your own, just do it. Start small, iterate, and learn as you go. That's the whole point.
